I heard, In highschool days, He hated study. Then He plaied truant from school. He said He made himself in read books.He said in interview.
I think He was very problem child. (^^;;
And I think It was one of the question, He is a half-blood Chinease and England, and an illegitimate child. He said He was very teased in school.
But, I think It was incredible that He hated school. Becouse, I had a talk with him, some years ago. I felt He was very intellectually and calm person.
After leaving Highschool, He entrance into a Radio and Television Hongkong (RTHK) Actor School in 82. Lau ching-Wan was a classmate in there.
While in school, He made his appearance on television 25 titles for two years.
After that, He entrance into Houngkong Artist School course in actor. That place was opened in that year. Cheng Tat-Ming was a classmate in there.
After leaving there (in 88), He cameback television. Then, His regular screen debut was in 90. But, He made his debut in 85 while at school.
And He was nominate in Hongkong Academy Award (supporting actor class) at "Now You See Love, Now You Don't" in 92. I regret to say that He don't got it.
But, He gotten Hongkong Academy Award (most valuable leading actor) at "The Untold Story" in next year. Congratulations!!
His first directed was "New Tenant" at 95. (He plaied leading actor and sound director).
I think He isn't star with great vigor, But He regularly characteristic character.In particular, He had the reputation of being an good actor in a villain.
I always think the movie present little appeal to me. What kind of movie? The movie has very charming star, but has not good actor in a villain. It reduce charm by half.
The other side, He plaied music. I thought Music pray was his hobby. How absurd!! He edited sound of movie. And He released sound track CD in 95. After that He released debut song CD.
I think His sprit of resistance express, That CD designated by category 3. I think It was first designated by CD, meybe.
I think That had designated by reason of slang. Certainly, The wards was full of dangerous word ! (^^;; I never heard that word in that song. Incidentally, His second CD designated by category 3, too.
I think He looks eccentric, But He was a pioneer in the Hongkong entertainment world. I think He was deserve praise.
He was back up his younger generation's stage. I think Hongkong theatrical world is genesis, yet. Becouse They had so mamy trouble, for make stage in Hongkong.
At the music scene, He was located a musician of medium standing.
In his private life, He got married in 95. But He was not made publish in marrige, formality.
And He had a son in 96. A baby made his special appearance in dady's second CD. But I felt baby was only cry. Is it my fancy?
